ADA Law and the City of Crescent City


In accordance with the requirements of Title II of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 (ADA), the Americans with Disabilities Amendments Act of 2008, the Fair Employment & Housing Act (FEHA), California Government Code Section 11135 and other applicable codes, the City of Crescent City (the "City") does not discriminate against qualified individuals with disabilities on the basis of disability in its services, programs, or activities.  A copy of the City’s printed public notice can be accessed here: ADA Public Notice

Auxiliary Aids or Other Accommodations


Upon request, the City will provide appropriate auxiliary aids/services or other reasonable accommodations for disabled individuals who need them in order to participate in employment activities, such as submitting an application for employment or participating in an interview, or to participate in City services, programs, meetings or other activities, unless to do so would result in a fundamental alteration of its programs or an undue administrative or financial burden. The City will not charge to cover the cost of providing these auxiliary aids/services or other reasonable accommodations.

 

Requests for accommodations should be submitted to the ADA Coordinator as far in advance as possible, but no later than two (2) business days or forty-eight (48) hours prior to the scheduled event.
