Setting of the Stones Ceremony

As we get ready to unveil the first section of the Tolowa Cultural Trail, in mid-November, we invite you to a Setting of the Stones Ceremony on October 13th, Indigenous Peoples’ Day, from 5:30-7:30 to commemorate the Taa-laa-wa dee-ni’ ancestors who will be memorialized as part of the Pebble Mosaic, a public art feature located at the Tolowa Cultural Trail Welcome Station. If you have a Taa-laa-wa dee-ni’ ancestor that was alive at any point leading up to 1906 and would like to have their name written on the back of one of the pebbles that will become part of this exhibit, please submit their name through the following website. If you would like to join the Taa-laa-wa dee-ni’ community for an evening of healing and the creation of a permanent public art feature in Beachfront Park, please RSVP at the following website.
