City of Crescent City - Proposed Water & Sewer Rate Adjustments

The City of Crescent City is proposing adjustments to both water and sewer rates to ensure the long term reliability, safety, and financial stability of our utility systems. Crescent City’s sewer rates have not been increased since 2014, and water rates have remained unchanged since 2017, even as operational, maintenance, and infrastructure costs have continued to rise.

These proposed changes are based on comprehensive rate studies and are necessary to support essential services, maintain aging infrastructure, and keep the systems financially sustainable. If adopted, the new rates would take effect beginning July 1, 2026. For full details, including the rate studies, official Proposition 218 notices, and a rate comparison table showing how Crescent City’s rates compare to nearby communities, please click the links below to review the attached documents.
