Applying for PBV assistance at Battery Point Senior Apts

Battery Point Apartments, located at 1000 David Street in Crescent City, is a large-scale project which will ultimately offer 40 senior units and 120 family units. The senior units will be ready for occupancy in mid-October 2025. The family units are estimated to be ready for occupancy in late 2026, with a separate waiting list that will be established in the future. Amenities to the property will include a fitness center, laundry facilities, community room/garden, and onsite management. To qualify, applicants must be 62 and above. This project is restricted to applicants with a household income not exceeding 40% of the Area Median Income (at or below $26,320 for a 1-person household, $30,080 for 2-person, and $33,840 for 3-person) by the project owner. Residents at Battery Point will pay a share of rent equal to 30% of household income, and the remainder will be subsidized by CCHA with PBV assistance. All 40 senior units at Battery Point will be subsidized by CCHA through PBV assistance.

Income documentation, government-issued ID, and Social Security cards for all household members will be required at the time of application submission for placement on the waiting list. Applications for Battery Point senior unit PBV assistance will be accepted as of Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at 7:30AM at the CCHA office. Any applications for Battery Point submitted prior to July 16 will be returned.  Applications will be placed on the waiting list in order of time/date received and applicants will be referred to Battery Point property management for consideration of tenancy upon selection from the waiting list.
